Steel shot

  • Metal Shot
The Steel Shot external shape is round and shaped like a steel liquid, thanks to a very fine heat treatment, it has the best elasticity and resistance to fatigue. It can be used in all aspects of shot blasting, especially for the treatment of hard steel reinforcement.
  • Steel shot
Cast steel angle grit is produced by crushing a shot of specially heat treated steel. Its behavior in service depends on hardness, a characteristic easily modified by the appropriate heat treatment.
Base hardness, we supply three types: GP Steel Grit (HRC40-50), GAL Steel Grit (HRC 50-60), GH Steel Grit (HRC 60-65).

  • GP Steel Grit: Angular when new, this sand completes quickly in use and its especially suitable descaling applications.
GL Steel Shot: Although harder than GP steel sand, it also loses its sharp edges during stick treatment and is particularly suitable for decalcification and surface preparation applications.
GH Steel Grit: With maximum hardness, GH always remains angular in its operational mix.
These abrasives are particularly effective in surface treatment processes and produce a smooth, etched finish. The GH Angle Grit should only be used on wheel machines where job requirements take precedence over cost price considerations (for example, with roll cylinders or when special finishing is required). For use mainly with compressed air equipment.
