Ecological shot

  • The “ecological shot”, also known worldwide as “Copper Slag” is a mineral abrasive used to treat surfaces as a substitute for unhealthy sandblasting, which, as is public knowledge, causes extremely high rates of silicosis and lung cancer among workers and personnel from the vicinity where the sandblasting is carried out.

  • Although sand is the most widely available and low starting natural abrasive, there are many reasons why sandblasting / hydroblasting should be eradicated and prohibited: When sand is projected onto a surface, most of it turns into powders with sizes less than 300Mesh with the blow.
  • The environmental pollution generated in the work environment and surroundings is made up of free silica, which is the cause of silicosis, a disease that causes difficulties in breathing and subsequent death to a very high percentage of the personnel involved in this type of task.
